"HOPE" is a painting inspired by the tragedy of whales dying due to overfishing and entanglement in fishing nets. Ironically, I finished this piece on the same day a cruise ship arrived in NYC with a dead whale across its bow. That night, a vivid dream came to me, shaping the vision for this painting.
We must pause overfishing and give the ocean at least two years to replenish her gifts. Sustainable solutions, like creating more fishing farms, are essential. As humans, we take and take, often forgetting that we share this earth with God’s other beautiful creatures. Whales, dolphins, and countless others that depend on the natural cycles of life are dying at an alarming rate—because of us.
The little boy in the boat symbolizes the next generation. He represents light, awareness, and the hope that comes with recognizing our mistakes. He reminds us that change is possible.

Metal Giclee:
This is a new process that lends it self to CLAIRS vibrant colors. The process is created using a die-sublimation process in which the inks are transferred and then heated onto a special type of metal that locks in the color, gloss and vibrancy! The smaller mini's on metal make a great statement, and come with hanging hardware on the back and are ready to put on the wall as soon as you get it. Or, If you are looking for a real stand alone vibrant art piece, we can do a custom size if you choose! This is a great option if you have a lot of sun, as they are more UV resistant.
