"The Kauri tree is one of the largest trees in the world, and they are to New Zealand what the pyramids are to Egypt. Sacred guardians of the forest. Maori saying is Tane, the god of the forest, separated earth and sky and the light into the world. Trees in the forest are believed to hold the earth and sky, so light can come in. This painting is an homage to my family and a symbol of all families. It represents the family tree as a mighty tower trunk surrounded by tiers of branches. Its appearance reminds is of the saying" my home is my fortress" The trunk of the tree symbolizes the unity of family, while its branches represent the diversity of life. The family tree continues to grow, conveying the continuity of life." ~ CLAIR

Metal Giclee:

This is a new process that lends it self to CLAIRS vibrant colors. The process is created using a die-sublimation process in which the inks are transferred and then heated onto a special type of metal that locks in the color, gloss and vibrancy! The smaller mini's on metal make a great statement, and come with hanging hardware on the back and are ready to put on the wall as soon as you get it. Or, If you are looking for a real stand alone vibrant art piece, we can do a custom size if you choose! This is a great option if you have a lot of sun, as they are more UV resistant.
